Thanks for the reply. I know you can install Broadcom firmware via b43-fwcutter on any Debian based distro, and Ubuntu Restricted Driver manager even detects and offers to download the firmware. 
The whole point is, if you ONLY have a Broadcom wireless card, how do you get online in the first place to download the firmware. It&#039;s one of those never ending circles.
